Do I need an instrument for the first lesson? No. If you are having a trial lesson to see if you would like to learn the instrument, I have an instrument you can use for that lesson. If you are continuing lessons, then yes as you will need one available to you at home to practise between lessons.

How long will it take to learn music? The easy answer is forever. Music is a very interesting and rewarding hobby or job. There is no ending to your learning, as long as you are willing to improve. Music is such a broad subject.

Will I need a book?Yes. I will recommend books and any other sheet music to start you off, but often you decide what you want to learn.

What are the costs?Like most hobbies, learning music can be expensive. My rates are £32/hr for individual lessons with 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 1 hour lessons available. On top of that is the cost of the instrument, music and accessories. There are lots of ways to learn if you are on a tight budget though. Please do get in contact should you need any advice.

Where do the lessons take place?Private lessons are held at my house in Winton, Bournemouth, where I have all of my music and accessories. However, under special circumstances I may be willing to come to you, although there maybe an extra cost involved.
