No Strings Attached -

Woodwind ensemble for adult learners

No Strings Attached was formed in October 2012

I had several adult students who wanted to play in a band, but found most of the local ones of too high a standard. There was a gap in the market.

Any one of any standard is welcome, even though it is aimed at those under grade 5 standard. There are no expectations and the music is arranged specifically for the group. It is a fun learning environment where members can meet people and make new friends.

No Strings Attached plays a variety of music from Pachelbel's Canon to Africa by Toto. They put on their own concert once a year and also have taken part in music festivals, where they have won their class on more than one occasion.

Our next concert is on Saturday 31st October at 7pm, at Iford United Reformed Church, Bournemouth, where we will be playing nusic with a Halloween theme.

No Strings Attached meets on Tuesday evenings at St. James' Church, Pokesdown 7pm - 8.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Because of Covid 19, these rehearsals are on hold for the time being. We are holding meetings each week via Zoom. and hoping to get together as soon as government guidelines allow. In the meantime, if you are interested in finding out more, please do not hesitate to contact.
